Things to do in the Brecon Beacons, Wales

Aubreys holiday cottage is ideally located in the stunning Brecon Beacons national park - with many things to do right on our doorstep. Activities range from a fully accredited climbing activity centre, pony trekking, horse riding, water activities at Llangorse Lake, and white water canoeing - and many more, all just a short distance away. 

We can arrange Clay pigeon shooting, gliding and golf with advance notice.

The Brecon Beacons are an ideal place for Mountain biking - if you are looking for Mountain biking in one of the most attractive parts of Wales, we can store mountain bikes to the side of the property - or arrange bike hire for you and your group.

There are several dedicated off road scrambling tracks across nominated parts of the Brecon Beacons for motorised vehicles. Please ask us for details.  

Dining and Socialising in Brecon

The local Castle Inn and The Red Lion public houses both serve local real Ales, and food all day throughout the spring and summer season. Please ask us for details if you wish to book a first evening meal for when you first arrive.

From the months of April through to November, there is a family bar/ club at Lakeside Caravan Park open to non residents.

There are also a number of extremely good restaurants that cater for all needs within a five mile radius, with a good local taxi service so at all of you can enjoy the evening.
